Help this Disabled Family To Live

In the heart of one of the most neglected regions lies a family whose story is both heartbreaking and inspiring. This family, disabled in more ways than one, has been pushed to the very edge of survival. Living in a remote village, far from any form of consistent support, their daily struggles are unimaginable. But despite the overwhelming odds, they continue to fight for their right to a dignified life.

We discovered this family while working on one of our outreach projects deep in rural Uganda. The father, a proud man, had once been a community leader, known for his kindness and willingness to help others. However, a tragic accident left him disabled, unable to walk or provide for his family. The mother, who had once worked tirelessly alongside him, is now visually impaired, battling blindness brought on by untreated cataracts. Their three children, all under the age of 10, have become their caretakers, a role no child should have to bear.

In a crumbling hut with no access to basic sanitation, clean water, or regular meals, this family’s existence is a fight for survival every single day. They rely on the sparse and inconsistent help from neighbors, but it’s not enough. When we first visited, they hadn’t had a proper meal in days, surviving only on wild fruits. The children had dropped out of school, not because they didn’t want to learn, but because they had to care for their parents.

This campaign aims to raise $200,000 to provide not just short-term relief but a sustainable solution for this family. The funds will be used to build an accessible home, provide medical care and rehabilitation, set up a small business for self-sufficiency, and re-enroll the children in school. Your donation can change the course of this family’s life forever.
